Yana™, meaning “to bring forth the rain” in Tsonga, is on a mission to make technology touch every life — just like rain does.

We are building a data-free digital education, information, and services network that empowers township and rural communities across South Africa. By installing Wi-Fi powered local servers in schools, taxis, clinics, libraries, and spaza shops, Yana™ delivers vital educational content, health information, local business opportunities, and secure device backups — all without any data costs or connectivity barriers.

In doing so, we bridge the digital divide, promote local businesses, safeguard digital lives, and unlock the skills needed for a modern economy.

Through this campaign, we aim to raise R1.5 million to:

• Complete our network hardware & backup app beta

• Install 50 Yana™ devices across 10 communities

• Prove a scalable model that can reach millions across South Africa and beyond

• 5,000+ people reached each month

• 10 new jobs created immediately

• Thousands of children, entrepreneurs, and families gaining free, safe digital access where they live and learn.
